Please specify when the gifs on your site have kept their animation? For the instant check, you may try to change the parameter "Use GD library for image processing " in Stuido->Settings->General and check how enabling / disabling will help with it - some image libraries allows to keep the animation after resize and some - not.
GD Image library is on. As for when, I'm not really sure. They have seemed to work in some cases and some cases not. The ones that are working are in comments so far, not first posts.

Apparently it's not image resizing either. I just disabled that, still fails.
Also, adding the GIF to comment instead of posting it once again works. I just tried.
Update: Okay, if I go DIRECTLY to the posts category and upload the GIF there -it works-. It's quick post where it is NOT working.
FIXED: Okay, apparently the problem was I was using the photo upload function instead image (which needs post form editor enabled to use).
