Im a newbie I am using the Decourous theme and i have the quote "Unity is strength... when there is teamwork and collaboration, wonderful things can be achieved. " over my header image PLEASE someone tell me in layman terms how to get rid of this dreaded thing!

polyglot in studio and search for the term, edit it how you wish
Or you can go to Pages from Studio and select Front Page the Select Page drop down, there you can press the Setting page and at Cover tab toggle it and it will make it go away if you don't want it at all. Hope this helps.
