Discussions & Notifications App - pressing gear or "x" shows error like in screenshot.
Timeline App - icon is dimmed and neither gear or "x" do anything.
Is there a way to delete them manually from server and then to try to install again?

Could you please check the latest records in the logs/sys_modules.log file? Maybe this situation left the traces there.
