I noticed that when I clear the cache the counter will reappear. Again, till i refresh or change pages.

  Hmm.. Wonder if disabling the cache will keep them there? IDK. I just know that Notifications are the heart of any social networking site. Without them, you have no idea what is happening at the site without manually looking for it. Need to get this fixed as soon as possible.

  I couldn't agree more that notifications are very important. I really hope they can find a fix for this soon.
