Why shouldn't they have access when invited? But sometimes, people are cuirous who else might be able to attend a meeting, a workshop, a convention - you name it - and sometimes people accept invitations only, when they see that a certain person (e.g. a famous keynot speaker at a conference), they want to get into contact with, is attending, too
