It seems, there is a JS error on the page. Try to check the Console tab in the Developer panel of your browser (the F12 button in the Chrome).

  Just to let you know I am on shared hosting and I do not have root access to install Jot server. even if message is not a real time and it works like conversation then I am happy as it looks more beautiful compare to conversation interface.

  Humm, then I have serious doubts that your Jot-server will work. In shared hosting you will have the troubles with the installations of Node.js and Jot itself, and with the ports opening.
