No, if you will set this date earlier than it was - then it would be fine. If later - then be sure that the Updated or Last Logged fields values will look adequate for a new date.
I think will give up on this because I've found that the profile creation date is not displayed to the public on the profile page. I was seeing it because I was logged in as an admin.
