Hello all,

Trying to install Posts (and other free modules) and getting the "Error occurred" popup. Possibly related, we tried to upgrade to version 13 to no avail (button does not show up unless the choice is Beta.

I welcome any suggestions

Hello team,

I'm trying to download my invoices from una.io but the self-serve portal popup times out and shows an error 500 in dev tools.

Any chance someone can have a look?

On a side note, it would be nice to have these invoices sent via email automatically, so we can avoid spending time unnecessarily when doing accounting...

I tried today to download invoices for my subscriptions here on UNA.io and for some reason, two subscriptions product the same invoice - from number to product, everything is the same.

Can someone contact me in messenger to explain further?

Hello friends,

Some notifications sent to users on various actions are missing the domain part of the URL:

http://page.php/?i=cmts-view&sys=bx_timeline&id=53&cmt_id=3

I looked around (email templates, keys...) couldn't find what drives this.

It does not happen on all notifications, just some - e.g. notification that someone posted a commend on a discussion. Others are fine...

Any thoughts?

Hello, crowd.

I have been testing the Courses/Classes modules for a couple of days, and they can be an excellent and revenue-generating feature.

However, I find some awkwardness in the functionality:

  • A member can click "Attend course" without paying and even go through classes with paid Courses. I could not find an easy way to allow course paying members alone to access the Classes. A huge problem.
  • Once a class is marked as completed, there is no way to go through it again. Although not a huge issue, it raises a serious question: why add the lifetime option in payment if the content is locked once you go through it? It doesn't make sense.
  • The creator of the course can "Leave course", which is another problem; people can make mistakes, making the platform look like an unfinished environment, affecting the brand.

If anyone can provide some light on the above, I'd be grateful.

Question: Are these problems solvable through some configuration editing? I could not find anything after two days, and - considering this is a paid feature - I'd like to avoid spending more time trying to find it by myself.

PS. To some extent, we have the same situation with Events...

Hello crowd,
I wonder if anyone else has stumbled across something similar and knows how to fix:

The option to Add a new group is missing from the entire site.
I first noticed it wouldn't show in the "Add new..." block and thought it's a permission issue.
In the end, I checked and it is missing throughout the site, for all users, including the Administrator.
Accessing the URL /page.php?i=create-group-profile works and I can create new groups, and permissions work appropriately (i.e. levels without "Create Group" get the correct message displayed.

I uninstalled/reinstalled Groups, cleared the cache, cleared the browser cache, no success.

Interestingly enough, I couldn't find the option to start a new Discussion here on una.io as well. Not sure if related but strange enough - as I had to use the same method (direct URL in browser address field)

Any ideas?

Hi all,

In my humble opinion, the 2FA implementation needs some improvements.

Once enabled, it brings up a form with a pre-filled field, where the current mobile number is displayed in full - which is bad practice. More concerning, the mobile number can be replaced - meaning that if a user's password has been leaked, the hacker can easily change the registered number and log in. I just tested this theory, and I could log in to the account.

Within seconds, I could also change the password and get hold of the account completely.

In a real-world production scenario, this isn't good (to say the least). Add to this that SMS is looked at as a weak solution for 2FA, and we're having a problem.

Implementing authenticator app-based 2FA should be a priority, as well as email-based. Users should have multiple choices to make the platform secure and useable.

Any thoughts?

OK -  DIARY OF A NEW CUSTOMER !!

Today 2nd June. AM

Just signed up for the $50 + 50 plan (Apps & Hosting) 

Impressed  with the slick stripe payments. Its very good btw!

But apart from a 'Red Dot" in the Licence Field, I'm totally lost as to what to do now, or where to even look  / go now !

I've so many questions now.  I want to get started, i'm excited for sure, but I'm not been pointed in any specific direction.

First impressions - there are no obvious instructions to follow for a new user! At least nothing apparent to me, at first glance.

Like -

Where - do I go to "see' the back end of my potential new website?

Can - I start to experiment, build an "off-line'  version, get my toes wet, see how it look and feels before going live?

What - happens now?

Launching the launch window!!!!

OK - Licence Bought - Go to activate / Launch said Licence, and ran into problems with the correct naming of servers, again I feel the fact that I needed to summon Help to even activate the site was not good. Should be a case of; [ imput company name here ] & Click GO!! That said, getting help here, was super quick, through the UNA site. The new message alerts on my phone were also impressive, ditto for the UNA - device APP itself.

Overall

I feel the whole UNA "shop window' is very confusing indeed.  I mean - I'm never quite sure whether I'm actually on my OWN SITE, or UNA's !!!! at any one time, it's very confusing, seriously. Suggest colour code, UNA have a  different back round colour to own site.

Pricing

Probably be happy paying $100 p/m ok, (if I was actually making progress building a site) I'll talk about this in a while. In my opinion, having your 'business plan" priced at $800 a month (as it stands), when you can not tell me definitively, what exactly i will get for it!!! is plain pointless, to a small business, with a budget in mind!!  Mind the Gap!!  Big jump from $100 p/m to $800 p/m !!!  My site could take anything from a few hours, to months to implement, and there is no apparent tangible way of telling me in advance, what it's going to cost me???, come on! and that's not workable for any business.  Consider offering a "white label, ready to go template, out of the box, design and implementation for a set fee, payable per month, all I need to do is change the logo, up-load some pic's turn on/off the modules i want or need, and i'm LIVE!!  A "definable feature package'  memberships, forum, live chat, blog, photos etc for $xx per month, designed and implemented. That would interest me!

The Software itself

For sure, there is evidence of brilliance everywhere, Seeing how the template it looks and functions on my various devices, it's very impressive, the notifications everything, (on your own site that is! - UNA!) But the Achilles heal of the software is that it is designed by; Expert Tech geeks, for Competent Tech Geeks.  If your not a programmer, your lost here. Its not for any "Idea Person" in my view.  It's for a Competent Tech Geek, with an idea!  In short - as it currently is - the software is not 'user-friendly" enough for the mass market your after.  I've stated THIS as the standard you need to aim for ;-

The CMS is as easy to edit as a word doc, and modules and pages are simple ON/OFF options, money back guarantee, and outstanding tel support.  

I feel, UNA would need to offer some form of "support" at the start in order to "be at the races" as a product. Assign each new customer of UNA, to an "angel" initially as part of the deal, supported via a "P.C anywhere" type support / with chat.  Get um up and running with a revenue generating prod, and you have a good shot at retention.  But after 1- DAY on this, I'm so far a little disappointed, I thought I would be able to do more for myself.
