One more thing with messenger...is here a way to open messenger in an entirely "new window" instead of in a new "TAB"? Would like my members to see 2 different pages at same time rather than click back and forth between tabs...

  Lehigh Valley Social, I am not sure that I understand your idea. In default messenger window you may see the all talks and activities in them in real time and don't need to keep each talk in separate window. Also if you have many opened windows with talks you can not know in which one you have new message and you should to check each window. In default Jot window you may see in tabs' titles indicator when new message comes.

  I'm pretty sure it means a "detached" window, sort of a window that would behave just like the desktop app...

  My concern is that if my members are chatting, but want to use a different part of website, they have to keep navigating in the same window which seems frustrating... what are your thoughts on that?
