OK - More info on this. I have disabled/enabled the notifications, cleared cache, etc.. 

So I am getting Site Notifications when someone comments on a post.. 

I am NOT getting the Site Notification (the number populating) when someone actually makes a new post. If I go into my Notifications from the top right menu, I can see where the user added the posts so, not sure why the counter isn't working though for new content posted. 

Very similar to here at UNA too. When Andrew Boon made that post about Beta 2, I did not receive a Site Notification to his post. I have seen that before with other people I follow as well.
