Comment to 'Réaction and notifications'
  • I think the way it is designed is not compatible with a notification. I do not know if there is a bug or it is planned like that, but a second click cancels the reaction.
In my opinion this is not a good plan, everywhere in life, when you have reacted, you can not backtrack, change your mind, yes, but not cancel.
If it's wanted, then it can not send a notification, because the cause may no longer exist, so in the end will lower the counter drastically, and give a feeling of decreased activity.

Andrew Boon , bug, not bug, or something that did not think?

    • I somewhat agree with you Baloo but... It was no different when someone "liked" a post prior to the upgrade. If they did, you received an email notification stating that "Chris added a Like to ...." If I removed that like, which you could do, it did not send any additional notifications. It was just the initial "like" that did.

So I personally feel that if someone reacts to a post, there should at least be that initial notification that "Chris reacted to a post..." If I choose to change that reaction or remove it all together, there should not be another notification.
