Comment to 'Sign Up or Login using Mobile Number'
  • Hello @Chris Andre Buys,

Well, about signing up with phone number only (without the email address) like on Facebook, I don't know whether that option is supported by UNA. However you can use phone number to login to your UNA system.

You don't actually need Twilio to get your sign-up or Login to use either email address or mobile number unless you want to verity Phone numbers when creating account or to enable login with Two-Factor Authentication (2FA).

Your users should be able to enter or edit their phone number in your system in order to use it for login.

So, you need to enable the 'Phone' field on the 'Create Account (Sign-up) page and on the 'Edit account' page,

Studio > Forms app > Fields > System > Create Account > Phone

    and

Studio > Forms app > Fields > System > Edit Account > Phone

Please remember to change the Email field caption from 'Email' to 'Email or Phone' in your login form. The same field is used for both email and phone number.

Also phone numbers on the sign-up or login page must be entered in international format (E.164 formatting) starting with the + sign followed by the country code, then the area code and the local phone number without spaces, parentheses, dots or dashes. e.g. +1628xxxzzzz (Example based on a US phone number)
