Comment to UNA upgrade
  • First of all, Boonex needs to stop with these release numbers.  Before 11 comes out there should be a whole slew of point releases; 10.3, 10.4, 10,5 and probably a whole lot of sub point releases as well.  I know why Andrew is doing this; it makes UNA seem like a mature product when it isn't.  I know everyone using UNA wants to believe that UNA is ready for Prime Time but it isn't.  UNA needs a lot of work.  I have seen projects that haven't even reach full releases; are still in point releases; that have been around many many more years than UNA has been around.  The real release version of UNA should be maybe 2 at the most.  Personally I still feel that UNA is in beta code stage.

    • UNA updates numbers mostly depend on whether we add major new features, minor features or just fixes. We do some planning, but more than half of the additions come from custom implemented projects we work on for our X-level clients. This helps to fund core platform development and make changes that really matter for live sites already in production. So, we often have to go by the situation at hand - if we had to add major changes, a major update is released. If we added smaller improvements and can package them, minor update is released.
