Dear Colin Kahler has the Protean template, not Lucid like we have in una.io. For the Protean you need to work with #bx-homepage-menu-sys_homepage like:

#bx-homepage-menu-sys_homepage {

position: fixed;

z-index: 999;

top: 0px;

left: 0px;

}

and proper background.
