Thank you for sharing. Well, the idea is clear, though it does seem like it makes sense with VR sets only or for fun demo purposes at the moment. Anyhow, you can do this by replacing Plyr video player with something like JWPlayer, with support for 360/vr videos, at extra cost. 

Plyr does have a ticket for this in their repo, but no word yet as to when it may be available.
