  • Interesting cause I'm thinking that both should be left unchecked. The reason is cause if system files get updated and the apps option for auto updated are checked off or unchecked it will be the same results due to that the apps don't get auto updated. That's the issue, site files due get upgraded, but apps dont, therefore it causes the site to malfunction. Apps update need to be manually updated until this gets resolved no?

    • After system files update, modules update is run automatically when  "apps autoupdate" option is ON. If it's OFF then it isn't run automatically and site will be non functioning, until you update modules manually. So it's better to keep both options ON, or at least "apps autoupdate" should be ON.
