Comment to 'Suggestion for another prospective Streaming Server'
  • Their new low delay protocol SLDP, with sub-second delay, sounds promissing. https://wmspanel.com/nimble/sldp

If they can provide it for any device, it would be certainly a big advantage for a lot of use cases in live scenarios. But using WebSockets for http/s transfer assumes a certain technological infrastructure, like Amazon CloudFront can provide (full support for Websockets).

In this interview https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hfkUMSlvnwo&t=388s&ab_channel=Speedify, CEO Yury says that WebRTC is something they’re focusing on in 2022, as it’s gaining more and more momentum. They are introducing WebRTC ingest to Nimble Streamer as soon as their thorough testing is done, which will allow people to livestream directly from a browser, without the need for additional software (isn't this similar to vdo.ninja?). They’re also planning on adding WebRTC output to mobile devices in Larix Broadcaster.

I thought that Nimble server should be on your horizont as a (possibly) prospective alternative to OME.
