Think of live-streaming as of general media upload/publishing method - not a singular module or a feature. For example, in Videos and Albums modules live-streaming may be a generic one-to-many stream to followers which later gets saves into an album or a videos list. In Courses or Groups it can be more like a webinar and there may be another one which is more like a meeting or a lesson, which potential for multiple streamers. In Spaces it could be a continuous live-camera stream of a place for example, without a presenter. In Events it could represent a stage-like streaming of the event, or may just be incorporated as part of the Videos module. In Messenger live-streaming is 1-on-1 video call, or a small group meeting. In Conversations is can be a video-messages with live recording and ability to view while recording.
So, in other words - "just adding live streaming" to your site is open to interpretation. Think of what do you need exactly?

My idea for my site is to have a combined MySpace/Facebook/Patreon type of site. MySpace for its personalization of profile pages, Facebook for events/groups, and Patreon for people to be able to earn money doing what they love like throwing concerts, web shows, webinars on teaching subjects. So what you described is actually perfect for what I need. Server and usage of data for livestreams would be supported by taking a small percentage off as Credits are cashed in. Users being able to offer content for paid events or subscriptions for followers and the Point System for people who want to send points to their favorite music artists, content creators, or just people that go live.

Yes, maybe add contest music, video and photography etc like in mine still working with how to Connect all that with the points/credits/subscription by the way what is needed is a good chart system that connect all points waiting for Modzzzz and AGB :)
