Deactivated Members getting Alerts

I have a test account that I have deactivated via the dashboard, Any ideas why that account is STILL getting email alerts about posts, likes, etc.??

    • I am getting the same error, the I disabled "SMTP Mailer" module and the system is still sending emails. It is also sending mails to the wrong people. .

Please see my profile as I can not post links here

      • It is probably not an easy affair, check before sending the state of your account? Yes, but after deactivating a member, a notification is sent to inform them that they are deactivated. Then it remains in the Followers list, should it be temporarily removed from this list? But you're right it shouldn't be, that's a good question ...

        • I have the same problem.  I've had to turn off smtp mailer until I understand what's going on

          • Hello Chris !

Do those profiles take the notifications sometime after when the actions performed? I mean it may be the notifications from the queue - it needs to be sure.

            • The disabled SMTP mailer doesn't prevent the sending messages from the site's queue. It may continue to send with the PHP mail function.

              • I have had the account disabled for weeks and it is getting notifications of new posts, likes, etc.

                • The user may continue to take the notifications about own content.

                  • LeonidS ive seen this too.  a user who has been disabled or suspended with content deletion, should not be getting mails about their content, that is a bad design.

i say bad because if someone is bothered, it can be leading to a can spam  type situation.   if i delete someone i want them gone just like rm -fr deletes something.

for my sanity, protection, AND theirs.
