Good idea? Mixing paid content with free content on a social / dating network

My site is a network meant for real people to meet. Should I allow people to create paid groups and sell in the marketplace on that site, or should I have a second UNA installation on a subdomain for paid stuff? Do you think it would ruin the authenticity of the network by mixing paid (fake) content with free (real) content on the same site?

    • It's probably a good idea to have a subscription set up for people that want to sell their stuff.

      • yes.. we are doing this.. so the social aspect is there.. like facebook twitter..ect. the entire site is free to use.. however if you want content from a creator.. they have a fans only content on their profiles. and charge a subscription.. as the site owner.. we do a 20/80 split.. the creator gets 80percent.. that is the highest in the industry.

        • Does fans only affect other places on the site? What about in the public feed?

          • If you're talking about the Fans mod people will see a preview or custom set picture instead of content. I had it so people not subscribed would see an image that said Subscribers Only.

            • I decided to separate the paid stuff from the social site.

              • The dating network is a social networking site that allows users to create their own profile page where they can add friends, view friends' profiles, send messages to other members, and chat online. Dating networks are used to help people find love, friendship, romance, and even long-term relationships.
