How do I add a cutom fieled value on the Spaces search form?
Adding a custom field to the 'Add Space' form is easy enough, and the entered value appears on the Space View page without issues. However, I see no way to use that same custom field and its list of values on the search form, Is this not possible?

If I understand you correctly, there is no way to add the custom field to the existing search form? I have to create an entirely new search form?

I eventually found the answer on my own, buried in the middle of your cited tutorial on how to create your own search form,
You would have saved me a lot of time, had you just told me to click that 'Reset' button on the Fields display for the existing search form. Once I did that, the new custom field was imported into the existing search form in about one second. That all I wanted to do.
