How's 'Embed' in quill supposed to work?

Can somebody guide me on how to setup and use the embed function in quill editor? If I enter a URL and save, I get a blank card in timeline. I'm using Oembed in site settings.

Hi Roman, it's not clear to me what's the difference between embedding an URL and linking an URL. For linking I'll get the expected outcome with a href a tag for the text I link. But for embedding any URL I get a blank space. Can you just explain the concept of embedded URLs? Maybe I don't use it correctly.
