How to turn off "create new profile" option
Hi all,
Have searched everywhere in studio in Navigation app and I can't find what the name of the menu is in Lucid when you click on your profile pic in the top right corner. I need to find the name of that menu and then disable "create a new profile".
In my view, this "create a new profile" button should not be on by default - I would guess in 99.9% of cases the user doesn't want to create multiple profiles. My experience is it confuses users.

You need to configure general account setings. Make limits. Than disable in menu navigator.

Agree. This is a case of setting a default for just a tiny fraction of users. It doesn't make sense.

Foghorn , yes I see it now it is called "Notifications" thank you - not a good name for a menu that is not a notifications list. Ok - so unfortunately the block of "create new profile" doesn't appear in the notifications menu control.. Will keep looking. The "Menu" must be a page I guess.

SO if you want to disable the link i cant find it either but you can adjust how many they create as it wont allow them to create an account if you set it to a limit other than zero example 1 but this will also stop them from creating orginaization if you are allowing them to do that also.
so what i recommend is going here studio/navigation/system/Add Profiles and disable Person by sliding the slider to off doing this will stop them from creating additional profiles but still allow them to create organizations

Thanks Bret - would prefer to remove the button in the nav though. Must be doable. Alex T⚜️ can you shed any light on this button and how to hide it?

Open studio and read navigation menu. I hope you can. That helps you in future! There more people try fix big things and get answers for difficult question/problem. It happend a little or never, because more topics add without searching and reading studio configs(

Guys I have really searched.
I went to the section Bret mentioned navigation/system/add profile and turned off the "person" slider as you can see in the image
Still I an see the create profile button in the "Avatar menu"
I also turned off "create profiles" in the navigation root page and that has no effect.
So still no closer to turning off "create profiles" link

Do you limit profiles creating number? You can play with permission membership to. I hope it helps you to fix it.

I guess if you really want to hide it, you could use css styling in Designer app Injections...
