JOT Messenger
When someone is part of a JOT group messenger like your Shout Box and they are disruptive, suspending them does not disable their ability to continue in the JOT messaging.
And Deleting them is not good, because it doesn't block them. How do we clear someone out of a JOT group message discussions w/o goin into the server?

Use this menu here, then just remove the inappropriate users.

We already tried that. It doesn't work. And the search feature in the "Edit Participant list" doesn't work either but even if they are listed there and you can find them, removing them doesn't prevent them from continuing to post messages.

What version of Messenger are you using?

11.0.3

Evidently on Messenger you can't remove someone from a message box that they have access to, which suspending them doesn't seem to remove. So basically everyone using Messenger is vulnerable to spammers.
-
Messenger is not connected to Permissions in UNA - so access cannot be restricted based on user level. The usual procedure with Spammers would be to delete account with all content.

Although in your instance, I suspect the issue is not so much with Spammers (whose aim is usually financial) but with Forum Trolls, who are targeting your site directly and just want to create havoc. Spammers are reasonably easy to deal with using the UNA AntiSpam module, eliminating trolls usually requires vigilant moderation and individual removal.

As noted previously: there is no way to remove someone from a messenger conversation in which they are part of. No matter how vigilant you are there is no method to remove them.
