looking for post feature in status update
Hi Guys,
I am looking for post features in status update without title and category.
is it possible to add files, polls , location, publishing time to add in status update..
UNA is providing lots of features but una should understand that not everyone want to use all the module. there should be option to enable and disable the features.
Can any developer help me modify the status update module as per this requirement or create a new module.

He wants to disable Title and category and make the Post Module more like how Facebook is without a ton of mandatory fill ins.

I see, well, he can go to studio < forms > fields > from select module he can choose there > select display choose what he wants and then disable fields he don't want to appear. That should work, but i will try on my end if i can confirm other way

Or to the far right the pencil, if he clicks on pencil a menu pops up and disable manditory

Hi travis k - Posts Module is designed to be highly configurable - from full elaborate Blogs with attachments, to a simple tweet. As Will refers to above, you can edit the Posts form via Studio > Forms > Posts > Add Post.
You should also consider that UNA also has other options for content publishing, for a simple Tweet or Facebook style post, you might want to use the Updates or Posts function in Timeline Module. You can access this form via Studio >Form > Timeline > Posts. We have that setup here on UNA.io - Updates for Short form posts, Posts for Blogs, Discussions for Forum. -

The 'update' in timeline is designed to be simple, short form posts. For longer, more sophisticated posts, it is best to use the Posts Module. You can remove access to Updates by removing it from this Menu - Studio > Navigation > Add Content > Update

thanks, i tried that ..it remove the option from homepage..
one thing i notice is that when we want to post to someone else profile we have to use post to feed which different that post module..so post module cant replace status update..
one option i see is to add more features in status update module
or use both status update and post module..
problem is i don't want to confuse user with two options ..i want to give them one option either post module or status update ..with option to choose who can see their post/update ..public,friends , etc
