My Una Wishlist

1. (very, very important x1,000๐Ÿ™ ) make everything that a person cannot see or have access to, completely hidden for that user. No more access denied. This includes sharing to the "friends" privacy.

2. (important๐Ÿšฆ ) Let site admin choose what to include in search results and no more pressing "enter" and everything shows up.

3. add Google authenticator, Authy, or just something that is free. Twilio phone number system costs too much, I think. The Auth type of system seems more modern than typing in a phone number.

4. (important๐Ÿ‘ฝ ) Ability to set entire site to "private" with one click of a button, for private networks like dating. It would show the splash and sign up/login form for unauthenticated users for the entire site.

5. Activity pub integration. Maybe only in the timeline, to use UNA as a social hub for all my Mastodon, Misskey, etc sites. Discourse is adding activity pub too so it would be useful to have one central place for everything.

6. Google Cloud Vision API for adult, violent, and sensitive image recognition. Hide the content from the site and automatically send a notice to the user so they can moderate their own content. If they don't moderate their content, then automatically delete it. Just delete the offensive media, not the entire post. Then send another message saying that their content was deleted. After a certain amount of deletions or notices, the account is flagged and the profile/account is automatically deactivated or deleted.

7. (very important๐Ÿฆ๐Ÿ˜‡ย  ) OAuth Client to go along with the UNA OAuth server so I can easily connect my users to and from other software into UNA and out of UNA with ease. For example, a heavily secure enterprise login site, then they can sign in to all other sites in the network.ย 

8. (Very, Very important x10๐Ÿ‘€ ) An option to make the message and mentions system only for friends. This includes the dropdown that shows names when a person composes a message, etc. Kids shouldn't see those bad names and also people get confused as to what is the real name of the person that they are trying to send the message to.

9.a. (very, very important x10๐Ÿ‘ฌ ) Add support for a completely friends only network. No person outside of their friends can see anything. A person needs to invite their friends using the invite app and then the site admin can use a "Friends of friends" block to let the user's friends base grow.

9.b. Similar to number 9, add support for Followers only, and for Friends and Followers only so no person can see anything from someone who they aren't following or aren't friends with. There would be a suggestion block similar to Friends of Friends. Then add a privacy field for "Followers" and "Friends and Followers". Option to disable "public", "relationships", "members", etc. So in the end, the privacy list would be "Friends", "Followers", "Friends and Followers".ย 

10. Ability to upload gifs in timelines and posts, as well as maybe Giphy or something similar.

11. add a separate upload limit for the market. If the entire site is 40 mb limit, the people who upgrade to sell their products should have a higher upload limit only for their products. Not for everything because the large videos will take too long to encode. The market should be treated differently because it concerns money.

12. (very, very important x10๐ŸŒ ) ability to add infinite amount of conversion servers to video encoding. Large networks will need this.

13. more social sharing providers. (whatsapp, mastodon, VK, OK, Wechat, etc)

14. hidden Honeypot field for the sign up/login and contact forms. And for all post forms on the site to stop bots.

    • All these features are great. I'd like to add a couple of my whishlist - not sure if we have an option in Admin to temporarily disable the entire site & present the users with a landing page that says "under maintenance..".
      Also, I'd like to see both options "upload & embedding" videos on Videos Mod. When an average user sees Videos link, he/she will expect either to upload or embed his video - why do we need to direct the users to use Discussions Mod to embed Videos ? - Discussions Mod should be used for discussions & Videos Mod should be used for Videos. This is all part of user friendly approach, make it simple..
      One more critical item I found about Videos Mod - If someone pays me to feature his/her youtube video, and when I try to add a Video Block on my front page, the Video Block will only feature the uploaded videos but NOT the embedded youtube videos. So what do I tell my customer, upload the video instead ? and what if the video is 1hr long, doing that for too many customers will bring my server to its knees.. I hope the embedded videos can be added to Videos Mod soon.. Thx.

        Yes,ย (KEEP IT SIMPLE !!!)... If it's not what I call (in your face easy)... Most will not take the time to figure things out and go elsewhere..

        • And after testing, the only privacy groups that can be used to avoid access denied everywhere are public, members, relationships. If it's set to members, there is a mix of visible and access denied for unauthenticated users. Relationships are more for dating, but mine is not a dating site. It's like I need to make everything public, and then there is no privacy.

          • LeonidS Is there any plan to stop access denied from appearing throughout the site? Even in the search drop down, results show up and when someone clicks on it, it leads to access denied message. It shouldn't even show up.
