New user questions

I currently have a Wordpress site and am looking at adding UNA as a subdirectory community. I know you can add it via subdomain so want to confirm adding as a subdirectory as well. Also, if UNA is added as a subdirectory of my current Wordpress site, I have additional questions about that. I know there is an option to set up SSO. However, how does it work with users and how they are organized? For example, what if there is something users need to register for on my Wordpress site or if they subscribe to a newsletter there and become a user, and then my UNA community also requires registration. Would I have to have two different registrations for the two sections of my site? If not, where are those users housed? In Wordpress I can go to a section in admin and see the list of my users. If I use UNA as well, I imagine there wouldn't be a place to consolidate users to one place?? Thanks!

    • Wow, good luck!

      • Hello @Adults Play Sports !

The best variant is creation the Wordpress Connect module like we already have for Facebook, X, LinkedIn, when the users may join with the accounts from the mentioned social networks.

        • Thank you. Yes, I've learned about this module now. But while users have a SSO option, I'm confused as to where I access all my users. Will there be two separate databases of users--one in Wordpress and one in UNA? That would be a mess. So before I move forward I'm trying to find out where my users would reside if I incorporated UNA with Wordpress.

          • Well, UNA has own prefixes for the tables so it's possible to use it in the one database with Wordpress. This way will simplify the development but it's better to have databases separated for more reliability. UNA will have the table with the name like bx_wordpress_connect_accounts where it will store the short info about the accounts "imported" from WP.
