I'm not seeing this massive email but no one can edit their notification settings. When they do they see the same error you show above.

For some reason I had 1100 emails go out in one hour. I shut it down in a few days later I tried it again and 100 emails went out in just a few minutes.

Do you know where at in github we can go to see what the progress is on 12b2?

I thought I read some place in here that they were hoping to have 12 final out this week.

I just looked at mail jet for the last 7 days. It's showing 3 to 4000 a day starting on the 7th. that's way to much for my site.

Me too, I am using mailjet too and had to disable it because the cost went sky high. That’s how I noticed what was happening.

It was driving me nuts as well.  I went to Github and fetch the file: /modules/boonex/notifications/classes/BxNtfsGridSettingsAdministration.php  and replaced the file on my site with the new one.

I wish I could do that but I know nothing about it and would really screw things up.

Until B2 gets released, it's the only way

Andrew Boon . I'm sure he had good reason to do so but a couple days ago my site was updated to 12. by a member of your team.  Now it seems to be causing a lot of big problems. Can you give me an idea when 12.0.0-B2 final will be released?

As long as you do things like this, in off-peak hours, and make very sure you can undo your actions, you'll be  fine.  Fortunately, this issue only involved one file and nothing else.  Sometimes applying changes to fix an issue, involve multiple files, and database updates.  If you have the means, a test site to practice on, can be really helpful... you could set it up as a subdomain on your main site, or just in a separate folder within your sites web root.

Alex, can you go over the update mechanisim, namely how files are transferred to my site from wherever they come from?  Do I need to set up an ftp user?  Folder permissions, etc.  I've only been working with Una for a few weeks, and I have a lot of catching up to do.

Was this to try and fix the notifications app admin panel which says
"Error

Database query error" ?

Cause I need to get that fixed.

I upgraded to 12.0.0 and old notifications were being sent again.  I turn off notifications and then back on again a few days later and samething old notification started going out again.  I thought this would be address in the stable version.  
What to do now?  I have notification turn off.  I have a new site with just a few user fortunately but still would rather not all notifications go out if there is a fixer for this? LeonidS ?

Thank you! I think that did it! I set the number 5 and so far no emails have been sent again.  I think I could bump the number to 10 days and be fine.  Just wondering the significance of the 'Notifications Lifetime'?  is there any concern of 5 days vs 10 that I should consider?
