Points Module

I don't know about everyone else but I've had so many database errors from this module!

Today I had strange errors shown at the top of my site.  I had to reinstall the module to remove them.

As I've had to do a lot of problems from this module I'm thinking of just deleting it because so many members on my site that uses this module, ask "why." I'm done making excuses. I'm not going to report these problems as I believe they should be checked with each "new edition" of UNA.

Anton who runs AQB and has designed UNA from start should have working modules IMO.

Now that Modzzz is here with other third-party modules and introducing modules that are more complex we see more errors with ones that others produce.

It makes me hesitant to purchase ANY third party modules, this is quickly becoming another Boonex market mess.

Vendor modules should not be on the market is they always produce database errors. I have all of them if needed.

    • Hello Michael

I have had points for a long time, and have had no problems.

I have over 20 AQB mods in my site they run fluent with very little problems ever.

As of recent I have purchased over 10 modules from modzzz  and have modules from 5 other vendors running over 40 third party apps with very little problems at all. Just the regular stuff that happens with all glitches in tech. Whether it's Google, Facebook Amazon.

Trillion dollar tech companies go through this all the time. You would think that capital would eliminate these problems, but they still get thousands of reports daily for all kinds of glitches.

Google's Play store and Apple store release apps that have glitches.

I have no idea... Maybe 15 to 20 years from now common glitches like this will never be a problem.

I hope you find resolve within your site quickly. Your Excitement for UNA early on inspired me to climb aboard after using dolphin for over 10 years. The best thing I could have done for my future endeavors.

Let's get this figured out, it means everything for our UNA community to have a great market place.

      • Anton is usually very efficient and quick in resolving problems. I think you should report the problem as sometimes there are errors that will show in a live site that do not necessarily show up in a test environment.

I have and usually the next day or two there is an update in the studio. I have had this and other AQB modules and most work fine. The fix was to reinstall the module and reposition the blocks. Thanks to all those that responded; I was looking for a response from the author of the module.

          • Hello!

We regret for what you had to face. It is very complex module which involved in many parts and modules of the site. We test all our modules on default UNA configuration and modules, but there are may be another 3rd modules and not standard changes which we can not foresee. We will try to update Points System more often with fixes and corrections, but we need to have error or something to find the problem.

              • Hello!

This error existed in some of the previous versions and should not exist in latest updates. Check please if you have the latest version.

Also this error should not influence on the work of the module for the members.
