Polyglot doesn't save

Hi, i'm working with a fresh install of UNA, i wanted to change the default Unity is strength... in Polyglot but when i click save the saving icon keeps playing but nothing happens.
Eventually i have to click close because really nothing happens and nothing is saved.

Can i edit the language file directly or does this get overwritten when una updates?

Thanx

    • Ok, i'm creating a Dutch language module.
Do i also have to rename the module folders??  (ex: bx_polls to nm_polls)

And i still have to figure out why polyglot isn't working or i need to dive into the db to change the english words.

      • Hello twojoint !

Usually, when the icon keeps spinning it means you have the error in AJAX request which prevents to complete it. It needs to check the error log of your server first.

        • I had the same problem on a shared server. Deactivating some active ModSecurity rules did the trick for me.

          • Hi

I think the problem is with my hosting. With the install everything was ok but i received an email from them telling me i am not allowed to do cronjobs every second because i'm overloading the servers with this. They changed this to their minimum (5sec.)

It's strange because other keys i can edit and save. it's just the _sys_txt_homepage_cover key that gets stuck when saving. (as far as i can see, i didn't try them all)
When the saving gets stuck i can see the following errors in my browser console:

            (attachment error.jpg)

I found this error_log in my root folder (i see some updating errors, but in the meantime i performed every update i could find):

            (attachment errorlog.jpg)

            • It seems there affects the ModSecurity trouble like dear thomlin said (thnx, mate!). Why it is so with _sys_txt_homepage_cover key? Because by default it contains the HTML code of buttons and it looks suspicious for the security filters.

              • Ok, thanx. I can do without a button here, that's no problem. I will lookup this ModSecurity later.
For now, everything seems to work perfect. Do you think the cronjob every 5 sec.is going to give problems? Because i've read it needs to be 1 sec.

I have always been a huge Joomla fanboy, it's just with testing out some softaculous apps i stumbled upon UNA but as far as i can see now, this Joomla crush could come to an end soon 😂

                Really nice software man 👍

                • The Cron Jobs not in every second may generate delays with the mass mail sending and video files convertation.

                  • Ok, then i don't need to hurry looking for another webhosting.
                    Thanx.
