Serious error in site navigation

While searching to improve website crawling and indexing, I came across a very serious problem. If we use Google as a bot on any page of the site, or rather on a page cached by it, we will find that the navigation does not work. The bot cannot navigate the pages normally due to the fact that most of the links are incorrect for it. The problem is this: for some reason, when clicking on links, he sees the following addresses: “https: //site. com/page/page/discussions-home.” That is, another section “/page/” is added to the URL addresses. This can be noticed if “SEO URL” is not enabled.

    • I checked 5 sites on other CMS and not one site has this.

      • Here's an example: "http: //webcache.googleusercontent. com/search?q=cache:https: //unacms. com/d/on-tablets-the-video-still-extends-beyond&client=safari&sca_esv=cdc18846ebd0314a&channel=ipad_bm&strip=1&vwsrc=0" just remove the spaces.

        • Relative URLs are calculated based on 'base' metatag, if this tag is missing, then relative URLs are using current URL as a base. In your video page is completely broken, I suspect that there is no 'base' tag, so everything looks broken.

          • Thank you! I just can't figure out why Google caches pages on UNA sites incorrectly. For example, this page has the same errors in the Google cached page. But at the same time, I checked the cached versions of pages of more than 10 sites on other CMS and for some reason they do not have problems with this. All links work and redirect correctly. But on UNA, when pages are cached by Google, for some reason the navigation does not work properly. When caching, for some reason it adds another section “/page/“, which is why this problem actually arises, but for what reason it does this is unclear.
