Spam detected when people use VPN

that was my first and only guess! sorry I'm not sure what's causing spam to be detected

A VPN provides no particular security benefits at all, that’s not what they are meant to do. It will not protect you from hacking, phishing or viruses in any way.

For phishing emails, it’s best if they are flagged and removed by your email provider, using spam filtering tools - how good they are varies, but many have a system to report new spam, which will help to train it to identify them.

If your current email provider is poor, consider switching to one that is better.

Secondly, if you get persistent phishing emails, almost all email clients have filtering and message handling tools. If, for instance, you get a phishing email for a bank you do not use, you can use the tools to automatically and instantly move all emails containing that banks name to spam.

Lastly, you should consider installing a phishing prevention web browser tool that will give you warning is you try to go on a known phishing website. These are not 100%, but will provide a level of protection.

If you are using the email of your ISP, switch to Gmail, there is really no email service that compares to the spam filter of Google.

I agree with this besides the bit about switching to Google, if privacy is your number one priority as it is mine. Google tracks everything you do even when you leave their site and follows you around to sell you things.

Ever been talking about something and then you open social media or a web browser and read an article only to see an ad for what you were talking about? Google isn’t the only one who does this but they are one of the biggest companies.

If it’s free your data is likely the product (unless it’s open-source)

If privacy is a concern for you / your users stay clear of Google and big tech services and use Proton mail or Hushmail. Both are free, encrypted and will not track you around the internet. They also have great spam blockers and phishing protection.

so is there any setting in studio to relax the security to allow vpn sign ups?
