The + sign does not appear
Hi all
Does anyone know why this could happen?
After uploading the image by clicking on the camera icon, the + sign that allows the image to be inserted into the content does not appear on it.
It is important to clarify that a couple of days ago this sign was displayed correctly.
Thanks.

Hello @Claudio Acosta !
I guess it might be the JS error on the page. What has been changed on your site on those 2 days?

Hi @LeonidS
No, I didn't make any changes.

I have a fairly default, and very new installation. I do not have a plus sign. Did your site update to 14 beta? Maybe the plus sign is no longer a feature.
-
Hi @Billy I thought so, but I checked and I have Version: 13.1.0 and set it to not update automatically.

The reason is, it is under 'header' image. It was uploaded by dragging a file or browse under header image. When using the camera icon it puts the image above the header image box. The + sign then shows.

Hi @Wise According to what you said, I changed the order in the form, however the problem continues.

I didn't change anything. I was saying, when I use the camera icon only, it shows a +. If I use the header image box, I get no +. Understand?

Try this order

Place header image underneath all attachments. I am not sure if this is the reason, I just see it as a difference.
-
@Wise Now I ordered this way, even removing "header image", but it still doesn't work.

Have you added anything since this problem happen? Any script injections? Anything?
-
@Wise The truth is that I didn't do anything.

If you truly did nothing, the only possibilities are: 1. Caching (but I doubt it, if it was styling or a missing changed image, I'd say caching), 2. A minor update was pushed to your site but your dashboard isn't showing it (I doubt this too), 3. Your web hosting environment changed causing some error (I doubt it), 4. You were hacked (I doubt it because a hacker would mess up more than a button).
Going back to the cache possibility. You say you didn't change anything, but what about weeks ago? This is rare, but in the past I've made changes at a website and then didn't notice an issue right away because the old version was cached. Or, parts of the old version were cached.
Side question: Since you can insert an image into posts with the image icon on the editor's toolbar, what's the point of this feature? I guess it saves a few seconds of time. But, it's not a feature I'm worried about personally.
You've checked your browser's developer console for errors?

The INTERMEDIATE UPDATE: As I found, the deal was in the JS error on the page. But after the clearing of the caches then + sign has appeared.

So something was changed 😎👍
Also, much easier when you have access to the site 😉

So something was changed
Perhaps, but it's strange that it has normalized after the cache clearing. We'll keep watching :-)

Hi @LeonidS
Now it works.
I didn't need to clear my browser's cache as you had suggested.
Obviously, cleaning the UNA cache that you did was enough.
Apparently the problem was caused by that.
