You have to allow updates of Beta versions in Studio > Developer Module.

You can download it for free in Apps.

I would advise you to wait for the stable version of UNA 13, when you are not hosted on UNA cloud, because the upgrade to Alpha and Beta versions can be quite challenging. There will be a direct upgrade from your version 12.1.0 to version 13 stable.

How did you update the two other sites without Developer Module?

Never heard of such a case before. Better contact the support.

The update option. That’s where I go to update.

Ah I see. I have mine set to manually update. And then I get a notification on Studio-> Dashboard when an update is available.

That screenshot shows the update option for STABLE releases only.

I don’t think so? I had mine accidentally set to auto-update and it updated to the alpha. That’s how I got stuck with the updates.

Did you install Developer Module before?

System update is connected to cron, which checks for updates. If you only set site settings for updates, it will follow the stable versions upgrade path. If you have installed Developer Module in addition and you set it to receive Alpha/Beta version updates, it follows that upgrade path.

The Wiki gives following information:

There are several update channels - stable and beta. By default stable is used. It's possible to change in Studio > Developer > Settings > Update channel. If Developer module can't be installed then it's possible to change update channel by running the following SQL query:

UPDATE `sys_options` SET `value` = 'beta' WHERE `name` = 'sys_upgrade_channel';

Then clear DB cache in Studio > Dashboard > Cache block
