I tried to set up UNA CMS, but it is too heavy using an external database. I'll try again with a local database.

Could you please share your problems with the database? How did you detect that it was slow?

We would appreciate more detail on what did you observe that was "heavy". The current version has had a lot of optimisations and should be very performant with the right setup.
