This was reported to me by a member, I installed thunderbird to reproduce it.
Here is an example of notification, with the view in Gmail:

See the title looks badly decoded. It seems that the problem occurs whenever there is a variable, in this case {account_count}

Note that I only saw this problem in Thunderbird, but it is annoying because I know that many use it ...
