Because the whole video must be on the server, not just a part of it, in order to start the conversion

Somewhat confusing, because part of uploading the video is only doing that. The progress bar indicates the beginning and the start.

I don't know about you, but for me, the conversion starts only after the entire video is uploaded and then Cron starts the conversion.. I can see it on the server load

I am not the only one with this problem. @VR Tour Guide is experiencing the same and I wonder if we should not configure something in the Settings or Developer modules.

If the conversion starts and completes, I don't see the problem anywhere.. the conversion takes a lot of server resources and time, it depends on how big the videos you upload are.. I currently have memory_limit set to 6gb.. Cron every minute

What you can set in the developer is to prioritize SD or HD video quality

@VR Tour Guide please take note. I have changed the video quality to HD but my PHP memory_limit was 512mb... Do you reckon I must increase it to 6gb. Hope TMDHosting makes provision. Anyway every bit counts and thank you so much. Let me do that.

I'm not saying you have to have a 6gb limit like I do, I don't know what your settings are and what videos you add, everyone's limit is different, maybe you won't need as much as I do...every server is also different..I have a VPS

K, Thx... I've just updated my ticket with TMD....Ask them to increase it but not to 6gb, so we can see what results I get.
