Hi all

For the community group site I set up, I would like to ensure that when someone registers, they are not members until approved by one of the admins.

Previously, I found the setting "Enable registration by invitation only ", but this setting seems to force me to send an invite back to the registrant, rather than allowing me to approve it straight away. Is there another setting elsewhere that allows admins to approve registrations without a further step of an addition invite back?

Regards

Robert

    • You are able to manually activate Person and Organisation profiles

      .../studio/person and .../studio/organization

      • Accounts can be manually activated by admins in ...studio/settings/account

        • Hi Peter

          Thanks for that response.

I noticed that under that setting, you have "Account is confirmed when " and in the drop-down below, I have "email is confirmed", as in your screenshot above. This still seems to mean that the account will be confirmed when the users confirms their email, and not when an admin clicks somewhere to approve. Correct me if I'm wrong? I'll test it out anyway and see, thanks!

          • OK, I have tested it after unchecking the box you mentioned, but I still have to send an invite back to the new member. I just want them to request membership and I approve or deny.

              HI Peter

For some reason, I only just got a notification about the above post come through, two hours after it says you posted it. It certainly wasn't there before now. I will try that now. Thanks.

              • OK, I think that works. Many thanks Peter. I wonder why that answer appeared two our after your second one?
