The module has been updated and now is fully compatible with UNA 12.

  Sweet, Just installed it. Any thoughts on sorting members based on location from current logged in user for the people directory/persons module? That'd be sweet!

  The Location Picker module is designed only for providing a location for an entry.
  If you want members to see nearby members then you may be interested in
  Locations Map
