Garage Sales
A garage sale (also known as an attic sale, junk sale, lawn sale, moving sale, patio sale, thrift sale, or yard sale) is an informal, irregularly scheduled event for the sale of used goods by private individuals, in which sellers are not required to obtain business licenses or collect sales tax. Give your members the chance to publicize and advertise their personal Garage Sales.
GENERAL FEATURES
- Site home page has recent listings block.
- Various browsing options are available such as New, Top, Latest, and Joined listings.
- Listings can be grouped into categories to better identify what is being sold.
- Integration with UNA's Timeline module.
- Management section to allow the Listing owner to moderate all listings.
- Recurring listing feature that allows scheduling a garage sale at particular intervals (eg first week every month)
POSTING FEATURES
- Poster can use Privacy settings to control access to viewing or commenting on listings.
- Location can be specified to give mapping directions.
- Attach media (images, videos, files) to give a clearer description of the listing
- Ability to schedule publishing at a later date.
VIEWING PAGE FEATURES
- Breadcrumbs block for easy navigation between listing home page, view page, and category page
- Members can indicate their interest in a listing
- Members can share listings on Social Media.
- Members can indicate if they will be attending a garage sale. View page lists all potential attendants.
- Invitation feature to send invitations to their friends and associates who might be interested in going to the sale
- Listing Owner may send a group message to all potential attendants
ADMINISTRATION FEATURES
- UNA ACL functionality can be used to control browsing, viewing, and posting access. Access control can be managed by going to Studio -> Permissions.
- Administrator can Feature listings.
- Administrator can configure Auto-approve mode (on/off via Studio).
