We've recently implemented verified accounts on two UNACMS sites, but in a slightly different way: verification is handled before a user can even access the account-creation page. Only after successful verification is the visitor allowed to register. Because every user must go through the same verification workflow, there was no need for internal membership variations that distinguish verified from unverified users — the system ensures that all accounts are verified by default.
This means the concept is definitely achievable today without requiring core UNACMS enhancements. However, I fully agree with you that a proper, official Verified Status system — together with visibility boosts, ranking priority, and membership-based reach — is something UNACMS really needs at the product level.
I’d also like to add this topic to my ongoing request for improvement to the UNACMS platform:
Even though verification can be enforced externally as we currently do, UNACMS would greatly benefit from native support for Verified Accounts, including:
- Verification Badges
- ID Verification options
- Impersonation protection
- Profile change review periods
- Membership-linked visibility boosts
- Algorithmic post/reply reach prioritization
- Search ranking priority per membership level
These features are standard in modern social platforms (X Premium, Meta Verified), and implementing them natively in UNACMS would give community owners powerful new tools to attract paid members and improve trust, authenticity, and platform security.

Very interesting! With your approach, users are forced to get verified first before even being able to create an account, right? All new sign-ups are automatically verified members. But what I have been trying to explain here is the verified account/profile status as an option, a value-added feature to enhance membership levels.
