Comment to Pricing of Apps
  • We will review the pricing for individual apps and will add more bundles.

Different apps have different costs, but an example of a full module I’m leaning towards the model like this:

    - Buy an app  initially for $50 with 2 years of updates included.
    - After 2 years, if an app is purchased already, updates are $10/year.

    - $50/month Pro subscription plan provides continued access to downloads and updates. So, it’s possible to buy a Pro plan for month, try various apps and then subscribe to yearly updates of individual ones.

    - In effect the Pro plan buys you all apps for permanent use, but with only 1 month of updates.

    • encouraging

otherwise all those below the 1% rich folks have to reconsider and do without

      • I think this makes a lot better sense.

To buy and decide not to update is not a workable option because you are most likely going to be having issues when the framework is upgraded. Like trying to continue running a version 9.0 App on 10.0 base is not advisable. So to drop the barrier that keeps people away makes a lot of sense.

If you make any App and 10 people buys for @50 is not as rewarding as when 500 buys @20.

Come to think of it, It is mandatory to maintain the App for the 10 clients and same update effort will take care of 500 clients. So it makes better sense to lower the maintenance costs.
