How to reset content filter? Member can't pick.

Members can't switch between content filters, but admin can. Members can only see G. I deleted R. How do I let members see G, PG, and PG-13?

    • Make sure to check your setting within the Studio panel.

      Studio > Settings > Security

      image_transcoder.php?o=sys_images_editor&h=764&dpx=1&t=1667510175

      • I mean I deleted R and X. Now when members post, they can only select to post in the content filter G. Even though PG and PG-13 are still there. Admin can still post into G, PG, and PG-13 like normal.

        • Hello @Genesis !

The admin may define the groups for certain users via the Persons -> Manage -> Manage All -> Manage Audience area.

          • But how to I make them available for everyone by default?

            • Here is the screenshot. I signed up as a normal member using facebook connect and I can only see the "G" option. I, as the admin, also deleted the "R" and "X" options from the fields. I, as a normal user, should still be able to see "PG" and "PG-13".

              • It depends on the value of the Date of Birth field. Do you use it during the profile creation?

                • Not to necro an old post, but I want to avoid making a duplicate of this issue.

I have two content filters set on the site: SFW and NSFW

I do not have either toggled as "prohibited" on the Settings page.

My test user has filled out their age, and the age reads as "32", meanwhile, they can only see "SFW".

                  image_transcoder.php?o=sys_images_editor&h=1624&dpx=1&t=1697868596

This feature is wishy-washy when it wants to display correctly for profiles that are clearly of-age to select anything beyond the first option, as I am not getting this issue on any of my created profiles on my account, however a select few people cannot select anything beyond SFW despite being of age.

This is what a newly created account with a newly created profile can see sometimes

                  image_transcoder.php?o=sys_images_editor&h=1626&dpx=1&t=1697868824

When a person is set as a moderator or admin, the chances increase of NSFW vanishing from the selection.

                  • The "fix" as it seems, is for the person to delete their first profile they created under their account and recreate it, only then, will all options appear.

Please have the devs audit the code for this feature @LeonidS
