Images keep getting rotated
I have lots of people reporting that images they upload that are correct on their devices are getting rotated in the upload process. I have personally experienced this and I dont see any way to correct this after you have uploaded the image. Does anyone have a suggestion?

Hi, Michael.
Please see the responses to this stack-overflow question. Skip the details of the question and just go to the two responses. I believe you will find your fix there. One is a php solution and the other is an imagemagick-jquery hybrid solution.

Thank you so much - I will look at that

Hey, Michael. I am glad for your question. I will no doubt need to use one of these solutions, before opening my una pages. The problem is universal. Hopefully, the fix is easy enough to apply here.
Best.

This is know bug, all the description of the bug is here - https://github.com/unaio/una/issues/2856 - and for there is no good fix available for it.
Temporary solution for now is to disable resizing in browser by setting "Image width to resize before upload" and "Image height to resize before upload" to "0" in Studio > Settings > General

It’s not a sizing problem it’s a rotation problem where you upload a picture that is right side up and afterward it rotates 90 deg and is sideways

I don't think so

That’s what’s happening

It maybe looks not related, but it's actually related, you can try this solution and reply back if this helped or not.

Ok I will give it a go. Thanks!

That seems to have resolved the issue. I know that is what I was using some time ago to resolve image sizing as I would upload various covers and they would not size correctly for group covers. The thumbnails look good when you are viewing groups but when you go into the actual group they dont look right. They are too large and run off the boundaries.
