    • Hello, go to studio-settings-permalinks- and check the box Enable SEO links

      • Hello, go to studio-settings-permalinks- and check the box Enable SEO links.
Thank you. I'll do this ASAP.
        • I don't have that option. I have these options that I have checked off already:

          Enable friendly permalinks for Pages

          Enable friendly permalinks for Modules

Enable friendly permalinks for local Storage

          • sorry, what version do you have?

                  • Will something like this ever be available for 'groups'? Instead of 'websitename/view-group-profile/groupname' , something like 'websitename/group/groupname' Groups are becoming popular on other micro social sites and link sharing is vital for the success.

                    • Hello already works)

                      • Update to my issue.

I'm now running UNA Version: 14.0.0-A1. I have gone to: studio-settings-permalinks- and check the box Enable SEO links. Url links were working fine now. However, I added some 3rd party apps. Shortly after I noticed my Url link to my Discussion section not working as it should - this is a coincidence or did add some 3rd party apps make Enable SEO link not work as it should? (p.s. I have since turn off all my 3rd party app but the problem below still exists)

After installing UNA 14 and turning on Enable SEO links, the SEO links worked, I got url such as: https://mysite.com/view-discussion/the-financial-advantages-of-utilizing-an

but after installing some 3rd party apps, I have noticed my urls for Discussion post appear like:

                        https://mysite.com/view-discussion/l2afyb

                        https://mysite.com/view-discussion/1vbtcdv

Now when I turn off: Enable SEO links, the URL to a Discussion from my site looks like this:

                        https://mysite.com/page/view-discussion?id=8

                        https://mysite.com/page/view-discussion?id=2

I have turn off the 3rd party apps and then have turn off Enable SEO links, and turn it back on, but the problem is not solved.

Any solutions? Thanks for any help offered!

                        • Running latest stable release v13.1 on 5 websites. No 3rd party apps installed.

For the UNA Posts app, I continue to see these post URLs (below)...

                          https://mysite.com/view-post/l2afyb

                          https://mysite.com/view-post/1vbtcdv

Yes, all 5 permalinks in Settings are checked.

So I delete the same post 3-5 times, keep redoing it, and change the TITLE to something very simple.

Then I get SEO links to work like this...

                          https://mysite.com/view-discussion/the-financial-advantages-of-utilizing-an

Why does this keep happening to almost every post?

Does UNA not like : or - or , or characters in the title, or is it something else entirely?

                          Thank you.

                          • Update: I am now running 14.0.0-A3.

On my Settings / permalinks/, the "Enable SEO links" has been checked off.

I am testing my URL links for Discussions, etc. by posting test submssions. The URLs usually displays properly but on occasion I continue to get an url that is not correct. I'll get something like:

                            https://mysite.com/view-discussion/l2afyb

instead of a correct url, which should be something like:

                            https://mysite.com/view-discussion/the-financial-advantages-of-utilizing-an

BTW, I'm running my site on a share VPS cloud hosting plan... and I wonder if this is the issue -> having to share resources.

Moreover, during my installation of 14.0.0-A3, out of curiosity I did click that audit link, and I did get this message:

I click the Audit during installation and got these two comment of concern:

                            Web-server: Apache

                            rewrite_module – UNDEFINED

                            and

                            PHP:

                            • PHP accelerator = - WARNING (The script can be much faster if you install some PHP accelerator)

Both of the above has been addressed by the support of my web host. Anyhow, I was told, I forget by who, from one of my replies on UNACMS that the: rewrite_module-UNDERFINED shouldn't cause any issues. I should double check with my web hosting support to confirmed it was addressed.

I removed all special characters : , - from each Title before submitting post.

SEO URLs work as they should when there are NO special characters in the title.

Characters in the Title breaks the SEO URLs function.

I submitted each post, then Edited the Title afterwards.

                              WITH characters in the Title:

                              https://mysite.com/view-post/l2afyb

                              WITHOUT characters in the Title:

                              https://mysite.com/view-discussion/the-financial-advantages-of-utilizing-an

PS: SIMON...I'm on a great VPS cloud hosting plan. Audit always shows the same things for years (apache, rewrite mod undefined...). Never had any problems.

I think you're right, re: do not use special characters in the title of Discussions, etc. Quite a number of my test Discussions titles did have special characters, e.g. testing no. 1 Discussions General
I'll continue to test, but this time around, not include special characters. If I continue to have issues with the URLs not displaying properly, I'll come back here to note it.
                                • FYI, I'm now running v: 14.0.0-A3 and testings it.

RE: URLs displaying properly or not.   I chose to test Discussions. For 'topic:' I entered: 365 days in a year

After clicking "Submit", I checked its URL. Once again, the URL did not display properly. I think any number entered in the 'topic:' section corrupts the URLs, it results in URLs not displaying properly.

                                  • Hello @Simon and @Jeff C !

It's a strange case, could you plz provide me with your UNA studio accesses via Messenger?

PS +Cpanel access would be very useful too :-)

                                    • Hi @LeonidS

I am trying to duplicate the URL error for you with specific instances, but the same exact Post Title first produces /view-post/l2afyb (incorrect) and then produces /view-post/the-financial-advantages (correct) upon resubmission.

I want to be able to send you my studio access with examples that produce the incorrect post title 100% of the time so you can see the issue for sure.

Also trying to figure out any other possible reasons this could be happening, and why it is inconsistent.

                                      Thanks.
