Required nearby post module
Hi Guys,
I am using nearby people module made by aqb soft.
I need one nearby module for (posts,album,pics,video,etc), i want user to set their diameter. and once all posts,videos are over then it will show posts and video from outside radius.
Also is it possible to enable location for status update (timeline post). if yeh then how to enable this?

The Nearby People module shows online people by taking their real locations at a given moment.
obviously posts, albums, pics, etc. can not have a real location.So I suppose you need some kind of a custom module.
If I understood you correctly then you want that module to be like a Locations Map but also give an ability to provide a radius. But radius from what? From a user's current live location or from a location provided on his profile's settings?As to location for timeline posts - it should appear at the status update form

I want to make location option and mandatory for all the posts.
and give user and option to set their radius. within that radius if there is any post or video or album then it those will show in top as priority..
when user scroll down the post page or video page..he will get the post from outside their radius...u can say like tinder but instead of people its a post ..

To set their radius from what point? What should be the center of a circle with that radius?

user can choose current location or choose city.

It seems a bit redundant and overcomplicated to me. There is a Locations Map module which allows to simply look for a content in any desired location/zoom level/radius.

But current location map module is for ppl not for post. Its not that complicated. you just need to replace ppl with post..

How this module work. does it fetch live location of user ? or user has to set their location manually ?
can you create a block/page for content to show instead of map...i just need a block/page view..i want this module.

This module just shows all locations of all types of content on a single map at a separate page. The location for people is taken from the user's regular Location field which is editable at a profile edit page.
You can place that block with a map anywhere you want.

instead of map view i am looking for list view. where new content will show on top..

No the module shows content entries only on a map as an interactive markers, there is no way in the module to show content as a list of entries.
Any marker can be clicked to show a content entry details (type, title, link).

Unfortunately no, this module is just an interactive map module, it is unable to list results in a block.

Unfortunately no, because the Locations Map module is intended to be used as a map only.
While as far as I understood you need an absolutely different module which will be showing content like for example a search page, but depending on a user's location and radius preferences. This would require to create an absolutely custom module specific to your needs. -
at first no need to provide search option for users in that module and we can keep the radius static or defined by admin at first. just like current module.
If you can just show the result in list view in a block instead of map that will work for me.

The current Locations Map module can not show results as a list view at all. It is not designed internally for that. So you will still need a custom module even if you can simplify its settings to just admin defined radius.
