Why on earth do 'Events' have 'Groups'?
Why on earth would anyone want to start a group within an event? I find this really strange. So now, when someone creates an event on my site, they can start a group in that event and also have event recipes? Does that make sense to anyone? I can see events within groups, but not the other way around. To give this some perspective, suppose somone posts an event that is a memorial service for a dead guy. I wonder who would want to start a group or post some recipes. What if I start a group about animal rescue? Should participants have a recipe section?
Events, Groups, and any module based off either, are in dire need of content management controls, and I don't think it can wait until V13

That’s an actually requested and used feature. Works well for larger events like festivals or conferences, where groups help to split events into smaller interest groups.

For every example you come up with that makes sense, I'll come up with a hundred that don't. But... I didn't suggest the feature go away, only that it be manageable in the 99 out of a hundred times where it just wouldn't be appropriate.
