Hello.  I just stumbled across this platform a few days ago and I am very excited to try it out.  I successfully installed version 12.0.0-B2; the home page loads and I am able to login to the back-end (studio).  When I go to the home page as a visitor and click on the "join now" button or the login button, neither works.  More specifically, when either link is clicked, the home page simply reloads and so neither link takes me anywhere.  What am I missing?

    • Hello lucke13b !

      I may suggest that the pages like page/login don't work. It means that your need to install / enable the modrewrite module on your server as it is a necessary requirement to the fine UNA work.

      • Thank you for the reply.  I use Inmotion hosting and they state that mod_rewrite is on by default.  I also confirmed it by running a test php page.  Any other ideas?

        • Hello, see if you can login via your site / studio / launcher.php
          Then go to dashboard => host tools => server audit and see if you have any errors, take the opportunity to also check the permissions.

          • Did both of those already too!  The audit is good other than it does does say: rewrite_module - UNDEFINED.  I searched for this on the forums and someone said to add the following lines to my .htaccess:

            RewriteRule ^m/(.*)$ modules/index.php?r=$1 [QSA,L]

            RewriteRule ^page/(.*)$ page.php?i=$1 [QSA,L]

            RewriteRule ^s/([a-zA-Z0-9_]+)/([a-zA-Z0-9\.]+) storage.php?o=$1&f=$2 [QSA,L]

            I did that and still no go.

            • You could disable Permalinks in Studio System Settings temporally, while your hosting provider fixes the rewrite_module issue.

              • That worked!  Okay, so you are saying there must still be a mod_rewrite issue if turning off permalinks fixes things, correct?

                  I think it is a UNA12beta issue...

                  One way to solve that issue is to start with una1104 install. This is how i solved that problem on a fresh install.

                  1. Start by installing UNA stable release 11.0.4
                  2. Manually download/Upload/install Developer App, and change the Update channel to beta
                  3. Run the UNA12.0.0-B1/2 update from Studio Dashboard
                  4. Update Apps from Studio Apps Market updates

                  Hope this helps someone out there if still struggling with the Beta testing... 🙂

                  • I didn't think about the fact that I am running a beta version; point well taken, I will give a stable version a shot.  Thanks much!

                    • I've just installed 12.0.1 (on April 24, 2021)  Links for About and People don't work. Is 11.0.4 still the latest UNA stable release?  If so, where do I go to download the latest stable version?

                      • Hello Simon !

                        It looks like you haven't the UNA root .htaccess file or your server hasn't the installed modrewrite module.

                        • LeonidS I've contacted my web hosting, they've confirmed that I have modrewrite.    In my public_html folder I have .htacccess   and here it a cut and paste of it:

                          # php -- BEGIN cPanel-generated handler, do not edit
                          # Set the “ea-php74” package as the default “PHP” programming language.
                          <IfModule mime_module>
                          AddHandler application/x-httpd-ea-php74 .php .php7 .phtml
                          </IfModule>
                          # php -- END cPanel-generated handler, do not edit

                          Do I need to add some code in the .htaccess file or ?

                          • Yes, you need to add there the code from our .htaccess file https://github.com/unaio/una/blob/master/.htaccess

                            • LeonidS Thank you! Adding the code from the link you referred me, did the trick. My site as it should now.
