re: location search and for registration. Once a country have been selected via drop down menu, have a drop down menu for State / Province. Once State / Province is selected, have a drop down menu for City. If this location search is not available, please consider it.

Thanks.

    • This is an urgent matter because I am having the same challenge. What worries me is the current creation of spaces for example. How do I store it? I currently have to create a space just for the country to have child spaces created for states in Simon's situation, and with me provinces and later on spaces for towns....kind of slobby structure. However, I do notice the location blog gives us the country.

Another thing is, that I often wonder if recommended spaces are linked with the location to user profiles. In short, a space already exists in your location....

      • Hello @Simone !

The variant mentioned by you has been used before UNA. But this way loads DB and doesn't covered all areas like we have it now.

        • Any solutions yet...if the programmers can only add to the location blog the parent-child relationship from country, state/province, city, and maybe places like town...

          • @leonidS ,

Regarding DB loads, do you mean countries were imported to a table on UNA, and we don't read it from Google Maps?

            • Hello @Chris Andre Buys ! In this variant with the countries, states and cities - yes, it doesn't use the Google Maps.

              • @LeonidS Thanks for responding. The SPACE module is deemed one of the top-level data structures, if not the top, when looking at Content Management. I would say top-level normalization. This module gives tremendous power, especially in the cloud computing arena and in comparison to multi-site architecture. a simple example to explain it more so that everyone can understand, facebook.com is a single domain connecting to different data centers worldwide, hence will you never say, for the non-technical, because all users experience high availability and scalability. I don't want to get technical about this... but all because of cloud computing technology.... SPACE module comes in handy, I would say, and this is to replace multi-site architect for example...somewhat...

Google Maps with its country, state, and town concept will help us store one record instead of having to create an entry for the country as a space... states as spaces ...before we can create a space for a town, maybe redefine search fields and who knows, maybe just activate labels with values such as country, state, town IF we wish to create a higher space userbase, for example for states.

Please reconsider the advantage we can enjoy if we have it in our UNACMS.
