I really like the functionality of Jot Messenger and I have a couple users who are using it as their primary form of communication, consolidating multiple chat apps and using Messenger alone, which kind of surprised me but it works for them.

I know you guys are planning more Jot features in the future and I’m excited to see Messenger develop and I wanted to add a couple things I would very much like to see in future releases.

  • The ability to @ mention a user and even a different or additional notification when your name is mentioned. This will be incredibly useful in group chats or a shout box to get someone's attention
  • The ability to delete or at least rename an attachment in chat without removing the attachment itself. Screenshots in particular and images overall, especially from Mobile, are presented with whatever file name the system has given it with no easy way to pre-name a file or change it after it's been added to a chat. My example is below.

I'm sure there are additiomal things that others would like to see so if you have some, feel free to comment.

And to the Boonex/UNA team of Andrew Boon, Alexey, Mark Purser, Alex T⚜️ , LeonidS and any others I haven't met yet, Thank You for all the hard work, your commitment to the platform and for communicating with us. It's great to be a part of a community where you can speak up and be heard and have a dialogue which is pretty rare these days.

So I am not really sure if this is Feedback, a suggestion or troubleshooting so I will leave the category as General

When creating a poll, particularly one that uses images and especially a header image, the visual render in the Polls module is gorgeous.
image_transcoder.php?o=bx_froala_image&h=2510&dpx=2&t=1574396686The poll looks and functions great as seen above
However when the same poll is rendered in the public timeline it has a very different and I would say unappealing look.
image_transcoder.php?o=bx_froala_image&h=2512&dpx=2&t=1574397218This version of the poll is not enticing the users to participate in the timeline or even click on the truncated title as its not clear that they should so that they may see the render from the first screenshot which would be preferable.

So my question is how may I go about getting the first screenshot to always appear in a users timeline while never seeing the poll rendered as in the second screenshot?

Thanks in Advance!

Has anyone attempted to embed an entire third party single web page or web app (PWA) into a new UNA page?

I have built out some Fediverse apps like Pixelfed (a beautiful open source, decentralized Instagram type app) and I would really like to incorporate it into my una based site.

I have tried using an iframe on a newly created page with the "Raw" block but its not great, particularly since it has interactions other than scrolling. It is even less ideal in the mobile apps.

I have contemplated creating a native webview for it in the mobile app build but that's a little over my experience level currently.

I will gladly accept all ideas and suggestions.

Thanks

Until I can come up with a better solution or at least a better understanding of why social logins are fairly broken in my mobile app, I would like to keep the social logins active and available but hide them from native mobile users while keeping it accessible to desktop web and mobile web users.

I looked for blocks and pages as you normally would but I didn't find what I was looking for. Is this currently possible?

Does anyone know whether UNA has a default URL scheme built into the mobile apps?

I ask because when dealing with social logins (Twitter specifically) in the mobile app, when trying to login with Twitter, it kicks out to the external browser and then gets stuck there in a blank page and when force switching back to the app it does not pass the token for login. I think if there was a scheme:// URI used vice https:// URI it should kick back to the app on its own with the token.

Any thoughts?

I have brought this up previously but is there any news on iOS 13 notification support? My users are getting notifications on iOS 12.x with no problem but they are not working once they upgrade to iOS 13

The 10.0 Final has been really great for me and the improvement to the mobile apps in particular has been really impressive.

In anticipation of the release of iOS 13 this week I noticed that push notifications from OneSignal while working in iOS 12 test devices, do not work at all in iOS 13. I assume it's related to an older implementation of the OneSignal SDK that doesn't support iOS 13.

Can you provide any update on plans to update the OneSignal SDK to support iOS 13? Should I open up an issue to track it?

Updated OneSignal iOS SDK from this week

Thanks

So this is from the new mobile apps if it looks strange.

I believe the icon indicated by my arrow is coded to Messenger which I am not using. I did however configure Rocket.chat and would like to swap the link and possibly the icon. However after searching for hours and hours through studio and designer and developer and Xcode and Android Studio I cannot find it so I hope someone else knows what it is and where I can find it.

Thanks in advance

Hey Alex T⚜️ ,

As I checked out Github this morning I noticed you had some new commits to the platform and to my initial excitement the mobile apps. I got a little nervous when I saw it was around bringing react-native up to a current version because I've had to compile the apps with React-native 0.59.10 just to keep them somewhat functional at least on my devices.

Anyway I downloaded the new commit and did all the necessary npm work and almost immediately the iOS build failed. Looking in Xcode the changes are clear. Correct me if I am wrong but I believe CocoaPods is a new addition? I also think the .xworkspace is new which I appreciate having in addition to the .xcodeproj. [ 👍  Xcode is so much cleaner with this. Beautiful!]

Did you have any similar issues?

I haven't used Cocoapods for dependency management so this will be new ground for me. I am holding out hope that this new version of react-native fixes the numerous issues I was having before.

Anything else new in the build?

Thanks for the continued work!
